Theater play:
Zašto ih nije briga
Why they don`t care
Synopsis
WHY DON’T THEY CARE is a theatre play that follows the escape of animals from the North Pole, which has begun to melt. A polar fox, a bear, a seal, a reindeer, and a puffin—animals driven out of their homeland—set off together toward the south in search of a garden they have heard contains an animal paradise.
On their journey, this unusual band of refugees encounters various monsters and catastrophes: an island of trash, an oil sea, acid rain, a glass garden, smog, hunting chases, fiery disasters, nuclear explosions, shopping malls, and a zoo. Naive, wounded, brave, and wonderfully unhinged, the animals live through a true Odyssey on their Noah-like ice floe, which turns into a Ship of Fools in search of a Neverland.
The play is based on motifs from D. M. Larson’s work Why Don’t They Care What’s Happening to the Earth?
